Leah Hefte

5'11 shooting guard

       Freshman

Hefte started the season as something of a darkhorse recruit.  McFarland is about 5 miles from Madison and Leah admitted to dreaming of being a Badger.  When she signed, she admitted that she would have to work to get minutes at Wisconsin.  She had a solid senior season that culminated with her breaking Katie Voigt's scoring records as she led her team to the Division 2 state title.  She is an excellent shooter to about 22 feet and has a very quick release on her shot.  She's an excellent athlete that has qualified for state in both tennis and track.  I don't expect her to get significant minutes her freshman year, but she could develop into a decent scorer.
