Coach Who Did the Most With the Least
Angie Lee, Iowa.   Since taking over at Iowa, Lee has largely been unable to recruit and has struggled to retain her players.  She went into the season with a roster of 10, which included 7 freshman, 2 sophs and a senior.  Despite the youth, and the modest reputations of her freshman, Iowa went 7-9 and came closer to beating Purdue than any other league team.  If she could recruit, she'd be scary.

Coach Who Did the Least With the Most
Jim Izard, Indiana.  Before the season, Izard predicted his team would compete for the league championship.  Instead, his senior dominated group quit on him and finished tied for last place.  Izard, who is a legend in his own mind, continued his career long practice of failing to develop his players and then blaming them for his failures.

Coach Who Should Be Doing ANYTHING But Coaching
Cheryl Littlejohn Minnesota.  The self-proclaimed Big Dog, or is that Mad Dog, took over a Minnesota team that had won five league games in three years and seemed surprised that she didn't have a wealth of talent.  After the 97-98 season, LJ purged the team and brought in "her" type of players.  They went 2-14, but she claims that they have improved, but it is hidden.  That would be fortunate for fans of the Goofs.  Other than Cassie VanderHeyden, "her" players appear to be decidely worse than the ones they replaced.
