Dec 28, 1999  The career of senior guard Melissa Parker is likely over.  She has been suffering headaches and a neurologist has determined that the hits to her head she has taken have affected her brain's ability to communicate with her muscles.  She will be reevaluated in three weeks, but all concerned expect her to miss the remainder of the season.

Redshirt freshman Cindy Dallas continues to struggle with her knee.  After missing last season with an acl, she has had to leave games twice this season after reinjuring the knee.  She will undergo extensive testing and not return until the coaches are reassured that she is healthy enough to play.

Anne O'Neil, considered by some to be the top prep point guard in the country, verbally committed to play for Illinois in 2000.

Junior Lisa Guaneri quit the Illini on Oct 20.  She will transfer to a school where she hopes to play more.  She has not decided where to go.
