Head Coach: Cheryl Littlejohn
When Littlejohn, the self-named Big Dog, took over the Gopher program two years ago, she inherited a team that had won only five league games in the preceding three season. Despite this, Mad Dog seemed honestly surprised that the talent on her team was not up to par. She set out to improve the talent level of the team by driving out most of the returning players and bringing in "her" kind of players. They may be "her" kind of players but they appear to be less talented than the group they replaced. On the court, her teams play decent defense and they play hard. Offensively, the strategy seems to be to pass the ball until inspiration strikes. As bad as the Gophers were before, they are worse now. Mad Dog is reportedly spending the summer deep in prayer that, in light of the scandal in the men's program, the school doesn't start demanding its coaches put academics first.
