Jan 26  Athletic Director Andy Geiger "suggested" that Burns rethink Moua's dismissal.  No fool, Burns complied and reinstated the team captain, but without her captaincy.

Jan 18  Senior Michaela Moua was dismissed from the team for unspecified reasons.  Speculation is that she bruised the ego of the ego-inflated Burns.

Incoming freshman LaToya Turner underwent an arthroscopic knee procedure on Oct 20.  There is swelling in her knee and it is not healing as quickly as expected.  The doctors hope to facilitate the knee's healing.

Caity Matter a 5'10 small forward from Bluffton, Oh and Emily Hayman a 6'2 center from Westerville, Oh, have verbally committed to play for OSU in the 2000 season.  Matter is ranked 40 by the All Star Girls Report and Hayman is ranked 79.  Matter suffered a torn acl in August and her senior year is in jeopardy.

By August, Jamie Lewis was ahead of schedule in her rehab from acl surgery, while LaToya Turner may be a little behind schedule.  Lewis may be able to play be November, while trainers hope Turner will be ready by Oct 16.    

OSU will face Katie Smith and the US National Team in an exhibition on Nov 21.

Jamie Lewis, the returning starter at point guard, tore her acl and underwent surgery in early July.

Former Purdue assistant Seth Kushkin was added to the OSU coaching staff replacing Edith Thompson.

Megan McCabe and Kylee Bogott will transfer from the OSU women's team.

Incoming freshman LaToya Turne tore her acl in the WBCA all-star game.
